Teddy Roosevelt Program at Prairie Woods Nature Center

October 29 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join historian Duane Jundt for a (slightly belated!) birthday celebration of the life and conservation legacy of President Theodore Roosevelt.  We will learn about TR the hunter-naturalist and how he acted to save the American landscape, forests and birds at the start of the 20th century.  We will explore how this legendary figure from our past remains relevant to our current conservation concerns.

Duane Jundt serves on the Advisory Board of the Theodore Roosevelt Association and has given presentations on Roosevelt across the country at nature centers and state and national parks, including Theodore Roosevelt, Rocky Mountain and Mesa Verde national parks.  He has written numerous articles, essays and reviews on TR and is one of the authors of Theodore Roosevelt, Naturalist in the Arena (University of Nebraska Press, 2020).
